“A free press can be good or bad…”

Attacks on the media, from the Right and the Left, have grown extreme in the last decade, spilling over into the rhetoric of the current presidential administration. The country is at a unique crossroads whereby both sides of the spectrum have ceased considering each other’s point of view in favor of following only those networks and organizations that tell them what they want to hear.

But regardless of what media you choose to follow, Albert Camus reminds us that a Free Press can either be good or bad, but a silent press can only ever be bad.

There is a silver lining in America’s polarize state of the media, and that is the fact that America’s media is still free, and always will be.
